How to read this page. We crop the account name, the Google Ads customer ID and our team's login details out of every screenshot before it goes online, so no client of ours is ever identified by name without asking them first. Metrics, date ranges and charts are untouched. Where a figure is quoted in the text, the screenshot beside it is where it came from.

Google Ads · Emergency home services

1,059 emergency jobs booked in 90 days at under $25 a lead

A 24/7 locksmith and plumbing company, in one of the most competitive and most click-fraud-prone categories on Google.

1

The client

A locksmith and plumbing provider running Google Ads to win emergency call-outs: lockouts, broken locks, burst pipes and blocked drains. The phone ringing is the whole business, so every dollar of ad spend has to turn into a call that same hour.
2

The problem

The account was already spending, but it was not holding steady.
  • Conversion rate swung month to month with no clear reason.
  • Cost per conversion moved up and down, so the budget could not be planned.
  • Broad keywords were pulling in clicks from people who were never going to book.
  • A limited budget meant every wasted click came straight out of the job count.
3

Our strategy

Four changes, in this order, so we could see what each one did.
  • Keyword optimisation. Built the account around high-intent searches such as “24/7 locksmith near me”, “emergency lock repair” and “car lockout service”. Cut the broad-match and low-performing terms, and added negatives to block the research traffic.
  • Smart bidding and budget scaling. Moved off manual CPC to Maximize Conversions with a target CPA, adjusted bids by device and by hour of day for peak emergency hours, then raised budget only where the data earned it.
  • Ad copy testing and extensions. Ran urgency-led variants — “Locked Out? Get Help in 15 Minutes!” — with call extensions, location extensions and structured snippets.
  • Landing page optimisation. Faster page, simpler lead form, plus reviews, service areas and quick-call buttons so a panicked customer can tap once.
4

What we built

An emergency-intent keyword set with a live negative list, a Maximize Conversions campaign with target CPA and device plus hour-of-day bid adjustments, urgency ad copy with call and location extensions, and a rebuilt landing page carrying trust signals and a tap-to-call button above the fold. Then a second campaign launched for the plumbing side of the business.

Volume went up while the cost of a lead stayed flat, which is the hard part. July delivered 350 conversions at a 34.65% conversion rate. August took a step back on rate but held volume at 346. September finished at 363 conversions — the best month of the three — at $24.38 each, with competition rising the whole time.

Three month Google Ads results table: July 34.65 percent conversion rate and 350 conversions at $21.86, August 28.98 percent and 346 at $25.03, September 26.89 percent and 363 at $24.38

September in the account: 363 conversions at $24.38, on $8.85K of spend.

With the locksmith side stable, we launched the plumbing campaign from scratch. Its first window brought 90,286 impressions and 532 clicks at a $1.10 average cost per click — cheap, qualified traffic to build on — and the first 11 tracked conversions off $608.57 of spend.

Want this for your phone line?

If your emergency or home-services account is spending without a predictable cost per call, this is exactly the work we do.

Google Ads · E-commerce

We cut their traffic by 19% and their revenue doubled

RAF Play, an online store whose Google Ads account was already profitable — and still leaving most of its money on the table.

1

The client

RAF Play sells online and runs Google Ads to drive sales, not sign-ups. Success is measured one way: return on ad spend. The brief was blunt — scale revenue hard, without giving up margin.
2

The problem

The account was returning 532% on ad spend, which looks healthy until you read where the clicks were going.
  • A large share of budget was buying top-of-funnel browsing clicks from people with no intent to buy.
  • Spend was spread evenly instead of following the products that actually converted.
  • Click volume was being treated as the goal, so the account optimised toward its own worst traffic.
3

Our strategy

Stop paying for browsing. Buy buyers.
  • Traffic quality pivot. Deliberately shed low-intent top-of-funnel clicks, accepting a smaller top line to kill the wasted spend underneath it.
  • Budget reallocation. Pushed the freed budget — and a 14% increase — straight into the SKUs with proven conversion rates.
  • Precision targeting. Reached buyers at the moment of need rather than the moment of curiosity.
4

What we built

A restructured account where budget follows proven SKUs instead of being spread flat, with the low-intent browsing queries pulled out and spend concentrated on high-intent buying searches. One month of changes, measured against the month before it.

Our method

What we do in the first 30 days of any account

The two case studies above look different on the surface — one sells emergency call-outs, one sells products — but the work follows the same four moves.

01

Cut the waste

Find the searches that spend money and never convert, and block them. Nearly every account we inherit is paying for research traffic it will never close.

02

Move the budget

Push spend toward the keywords, products and hours that already convert, instead of spreading it evenly and hoping. Then let smart bidding work with clean data.

03

Fix the landing

A good click still dies on a bad page. One offer, one obvious action, fast load, tap-to-call on phones — where about 90% of this traffic comes from.

04

Prove it monthly

You get the same screenshots you see on this page, for your own account, every month. If a number moves the wrong way, you hear it from us first.
