Getting traffic to a store is not hard. Getting traffic that buys at a cost that still leaves you a profit is the real work, and it depends on product data, creative, site experience and tracking working together. Here is how we approach each piece.
Start with margin, not traffic
Before setting budgets we look at your margins, average order value and which products actually make you money. A high-volume item with thin margins needs a different target than a full-price best seller. We group products in campaigns accordingly, so automated bidding in Performance Max and Shopping is not spending heavily on products that cannot pay for their own clicks.
Feed quality is ad quality
Google decides when to show your products largely from your feed. Vague titles like "Blue Top" lose to "Women's Cotton Wrap Top, Navy, Sizes XS to XL". Shopify's Google channel and Google for WooCommerce make syncing easier, but they do not write good titles or fix missing identifiers for you. Improving the feed is often the cheapest win available.
Creative does the targeting now
Meta and TikTok rely more on automated audiences than they used to, so the ad itself has to find the right people. We test several angles at once:
- Product-in-use videos and try-ons rather than plain catalog shots
- Customer reviews and user-generated style content
- Bundles, gift guides and limited drops instead of constant discounting
- Retargeting that shows the exact products a shopper viewed
Repeat customers are where profit lives
The first sale often barely breaks even after ad costs. The second and third are where a store makes money. We help set up email and SMS flows for abandoned carts, post-purchase follow-ups and win-back offers, and use your customer lists in ad platforms carefully so you are not paying to reacquire people who would have bought anyway.
Local shops can compete with online giants
A boutique has advantages Amazon does not: personal service, curated selection, events and same-day pickup. We put those front and center with local inventory ads, an active Google profile, in-store event promotion and social content that shows your space and your people.
Plan for peaks early
Holiday campaigns that launch the week of Black Friday are already late. We build creative, audiences and promotions weeks ahead, so you go into Q4 with tested ads and enough data for the platforms to perform. January matters too: gift card redemptions and returns-season shoppers are worth a plan of their own.
